Whether you are young or old, dealing with disease or seeking prevention – Dr. Deepak Kotecha believes that you should always be integrating the best of the modern, traditional and natural paradigms. Modern applications of medicine, Prayer, Yoga and meditation are not antithetical to each other but, rather, fully complementary. Dr. Kotecha has long held a special interest in overall patient wellness and especially the role that a holistic lifestyle approach, including Yoga, prayer and stress management, plays in chronic disease processes.
Introducing Yoga for Wellness
Welcome into your experience of the total Mind-Body-Spirit connection for a healthy, positive outlook on life. Learn simple and effective techniques that can be transformative to life and health when properly implemented.
Yoga should realistically be viewed as integrative medicine. Yoga, when practiced properly under the guidance of a knowledgeable and experienced teacher, is safe and effective at working towards a goal of a greatly reduced or even a relatively disease free state. Yoga should not be substituted for sound medical care, but rather, work hand-in-hand with your physician. Yoga should be an integral part of your overall care and work in tandem with medical care to achieve total health for the patient.
However, Yoga is so much more than “medicine.” Yoga’s simple and effective techniques, practices and lifestyle changes that are integral to the practice and sadhana of classical Yog can be profoundly life-changing on many levels, whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
Complete Mind & Body Wellness in Houston
Yoga is a system of self knowledge and self improvement. Arising from ancient teachings, knowledge and wisdom, these practices produce sustainable life-changing transformations that transcend the modern but limited notions of “total” health. Indeed, many modern interpretations of “Yoga” are mainly distortions of Yogasanas that do not do real justice to the system of self-improvement that is authentic Yoga. Find deeper meaning and the joy of living purposefully.

What my esteemed Yoga teacher says:
“Dr. Deepak Kotecha did a 200 hour teacher training with me. He has a great understanding of traditional Indian culture and that is a great addition to his being a Yoga Teacher. Another great thing about him is that he has interest, knowledge and experience of the Nutrition which is missing in the traditional Yoga science. And, lastly but not the least-ly, he has a formal education in Medical science that gives him Anatomical knowledge which is so useful to a Yoga Teacher. He has a great heart for social welfare. All these shall make him greatly beneficial to the society.” – Dr. Neel Kulkarni
